New Series "Streets of LA" 2014-2017

"This series is about documenting Los Angeles.  I go out and photograph a place, district or event, taking up to 300 photographs. Working on the computer I create my sketch. From there I output film and create screens.  This original painting you see is not a digital print. My "sketch" on the computer is used simply as a visual guide.  All of my paintings are a combination of hand painting and silkscreen using as many as 20 or more silkscreen prints.  The screens are reclaimed after I have created one painting.
